EATON, Ohio (AP) -- Authorities say two people from Chicago will face charges after troopers seized about $1.2 million worth of heroin during a traffic stop in far western Ohio.

The State Highway Patrol says troopers pulled over a car for a speeding violation Tuesday on Interstate 70 near Eaton. Troopers searched the vehicle after a drug-sniffing dog indicated a problem. They found heroin in a hidden compartment in the rear bumper.

They said Wednesday that both the driver and passenger will face felony charges of having heroin and having criminal tools. The two were jailed in Preble County.
