Hill AFB official nominated for promotion

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The commander of the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base is being promoted and given a new assignment.

Air Force officials say Maj. Gen. Andrew Busch will become the vice-commander of Air Force Material Command, headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

Busch will be promoted to lieutenant general following his confirmation by the U.S. Senate.

Busch says he has enjoyed the three years he has spent at Hill and is continually impressed by the professionalism of the staff at the base.

The Ogden Air Logistics Center is being reclassified later this year as a depot for the Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. It is part of a reorganization announced by the Air Force in November.
