Cleveland police say baby, mother found dead

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Police say the bodies of a woman and her 1-year-old daughter have been found in a Cleveland garage next to the body of the estranged boyfriend suspected of kidnapping them.

Cleveland Police Sgt. Sammy Morris says the three were found with gunshot wounds shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday in the closed garage at an unoccupied building. He says it appears the man had shot himself in the head.

Police have said Thomas Lorde had abducted 19-year-old Latasha Jackson and her daughter Chaniya Wynn around noon Saturday as the mother pushed the girl in a stroller.

An Amber Alert issued following their disappearance says Lorde was armed and described him as a violent sexual predator with outstanding felony warrants in New York.
