Ohio principal resigns over emails to teachers

LIMA, Ohio (AP) -- An Ohio elementary school principal has resigned after telling a teacher in an email that she has what he called "the best body."

School officials in Lima (LY'-muh) say the email was one of several sent to a few teachers that they considered inappropriate and unprofessional.

They told The Lima News (http://bit.ly/xsCMCy ) Kevin Fraley resigned after they told him he was being placed on leave while they looked into the matter.

Fraley has been in education 33 years. He says the emails were his way of encouraging staff and making them feel good about themselves. He says he's gotten notes of support from teachers.

In one of the emails reviewed by the newspaper, he told a teacher she's "dynamite in a small package." Another complimented a teacher's "gorgeous face."
