Rose leads Ft. Laramie win over Ottoville, 49-42

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Darian Rose rebounded from a slow start to score the first six points of overtime as Fort Laramie defeated top-ranked and unbeaten Ottoville 49-42 in a girls Division IV semifinal Friday.

Rose, an Associated Press second team All-Ohio selection, later added three foul shots to finish with 21 points, four above her average, after going scoreless in the first half.

Fort Laramie (26-3) trailed 37-32 with three minutes but sent the game into overtime on a Meg Westerheide layup with 38 seconds left.

Abby Siefker, the Division IV player of the year, had nine points before fouling out with two minutes remaining in regulation while teammate Rachel Beining had 18 points for Ottoville (27-1).

Fort Laramie seeks its first title Saturday at 5:15 p.m. against four-time champion Berlin Hiland.
