Iati, Black lead Albany (NY) over Hartford 75-49

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- Jacob Iati and Mike Black combined for 32 points and the senior guards led Albany (N.Y.) to a 75-49 rout of Hartford Saturday night.

The Great Danes (19-8, 8-5 America East) hit 10 of their first 13 field goal attempts and shot 70 percent (14 of 20) in the first half to lead 40-20 at halftime. They closed the half on a 22-5 run. Hartford (14-12, 7-6) never got within 10 points in the second half.

Iati scored 18 points, hitting 6 of 9 shots, including 4 of 5 3-pointers. He also had two free throws and four steals. Black scored 14 points, hitting 3 of 6 3-pointers.

Mark Nwakamma (12 points) and Nate Sikma (10) were the only Hartford players in double figures.

Albany was 10 of 16 on treys, Hartford just 7 of 32. Albany shot 26 for 47 overall (55.3 percent), Hartford 17 for 54 (31.5 percent).
