No. 25 Kent State (9-1, 6-0 Mid-American) at Bowling Green (7-3, 5-1), noon.
Line: Bowling Green by 2½.
Series Record: Bowling Green leads 55-18-6.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
Kent State can secure a spot in its first Mid-American Conference title game and set a school record for most wins in a season. But a Bowling Green victory would give the Falcons a clear path to the MAC East Division title and the league championship game in Detroit.
Kent State RBs Trayion Durham and Dri Archer vs. Bowling Green's defensive front seven. Durham is a 250-pound bruiser while Archer has the speed to break away for long gains. Both have both topped 1,000-yards this season. On the other side, Bowling Green DT Chris Jones leads the nation in quarterback sacks (11.5 )and is second in tackles for loss (17), anchoring a defense that gives up 104 rushing yards per game. The Falcons allow 15 points per game, ninth best in the country.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Kent State: QB Spencer Keith. The senior just needs enough consistency to stop Bowling Green from stacking the line against the run. Keith has averaged 141 yards passing per game, but had stayed away from turnovers until last week when he threw two interceptions against Miami.
Bowling Green: RB Anthon Samuel. The Falcons will look to keep the ball away from Kent State's high-scoring offense by putting the load on Samuel, the conference's freshman of the year. Samuel ran for a career-high 181 yards and two scores against Ohio just over a week ago.
