HUMBLE, Texas (AP) -- Jeff Maggert shot his second 66 to take the lead at 12 under par after two rounds at the rain-delayed Houston Open.
The 48-year-old Maggert is trying to win his hometown event for the first time in 24 starts. He had eight holes left in his second round when play resumed early Saturday. The tournament's schedule was set back by a thunderstorm on Thursday.
Brian Davis and Louis Oosthuizen were the overnight leaders at 11 under par, and James Driscoll finished a 66 in the morning to join them.
Defending champion Phil Mickelson (70) completed his second round on Friday and was in the group at 9 under. First-round co-leaders Angel Cabrera (70) and Carl Pettersson (70) were also at 9 under after finishing their second rounds on Saturday.
