Payton to meet with Parcells about coaching Saints

PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- New Orleans coach Sean Payton says he will meet Tuesday with Bill Parcells, and part of that discussion will include who will coach the Saints this coming season.

Payton says he will decide in the next "two to three" days whether he will appeal the suspension that would keep him off the sideline this season because of his role in the Saints' bounty system.

Parcells has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Payton, who says he has turned to his former boss in a mentoring role throughout the process. Payton says any decisions about who will coach the Saints in 2012 would also involve general manager Mickey Loomis and owner Tom Benson.

Payton also says he is "100 percent" certain he will coach the Saints in 2013.
