NAGOYA, Japan (AP) -- Australia striker Josh Kennedy scored his second goal of the season on Sunday as Nagoya Grampus beat Albirex Niigata 2-1 in the J-League.
Mu Kanazaki opened the scoring early in the second half and Kennedy doubled the lead with a header in the 67th minute before Niigata got one back with a late strike from Bruno Lopes.
Grampus has six points from three games, three behind leaders Vegalta Sendai and FC Tokyo, which both won on Saturday. Sendai beat Omiya Ardija 4-1 and Tokyo maintained its perfect start after a 2-0 win over Vissel Kobe.
In other matches, Cerezo Osaka beat Kawasaki Frontale 1-0, Sanfrecce Hiroshima defeated winless Kashima Antlers 2-0 while Urawa Reds beat Consadole Sapporo 2-1.
