Rockies-Mariners rained out in fourth inning

PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) -- The game between a Colorado Rockies split squad and Seattle Mariners on Sunday was postponed by rain after a delay of 34 minutes in the top of the fourth inning.

Seattle was leading 3-2 but the Rockies had runners on first and third with none out against Mariners starter Hector Noesi when a downpour of rain and hail began.

Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to tie it at 2.

Eric Young Jr. doubled and scored on a sacrifice fly in the first inning and a pair of Noesi wild pitches allowed Jordan Pacheco to score after a walk.

Chone Figgins had two hits for Seattle, the second a run-scoring single off Rockies starter Tyler Chatwood.

Noesi went four innings and allowed four hits with two walks, and Chatwood lasted 3 2-3 innings and gave up three runs on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts.
