BRASILIA, Brazil (AP) -- FIFA President Sepp Blatter says Brazil has reassured soccer's governing body that it will fulfill its commitments related to preparations for the 2014 World Cup.

After a "good meeting" with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Blatter also said he will deal with the problem involving the Brazilian government and FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke.

Friday's meeting came two weeks after Valcke made harsh remarks over Brazil's slow preparations for the tournament, starting a feud between the host country and FIFA.

The Brazilian government also said it was satisfied with the meeting in the nation's capital.

Pele, Ronaldo and Brazil Sports Minister Aldo Rebelo also attended the meeting.

Pele is a World Cup ambassador, while Ronaldo is a member of the local organizing committee.
