OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- Marcus Denmon was asked Thursday to pick the high point of the season, and the Missouri guard naturally picked the Tigers' impressive run to a Big 12 tournament title last weekend.

After all, Denmon said, the Tigers are all about winning championships.

Missouri (30-4) will begin pursuit of another on Friday.

The second-seeded Tigers open the NCAA tournament with a second-round game against No. 15 seed Norfolk State, the MEAC champions and winners of seven straight games. The winner of the West Regional game will advance to play Florida or Virginia on Sunday.

The Spartans (25-9) are participating in the NCAA tournament for the first time after 15 years at the Division I level.
