Russian Mayorova wins Nagoya Women's Marathon

NAGOYA, Japan (AP) -- Russia's Albina Mayorova won the Nagoya Women's Marathon on Sunday to boost her chances of earning a spot at the London Olympics.

Mayorova pulled away from Japan's Yoshimi Ozaki with three miles left and finished in 2 hours, 23 minutes, 52 seconds.

Ozaki, who also improved her chances for this year's Olympics, was second in 2:24:14, and compatriot Remi Nakazato was third in 2:24:28. Athens gold medalist Mizuki Noguchi completed her first marathon in four years, finishing sixth in 2:25:33.
