WARSAW, Poland (AP) -- Poland and Portugal drew 0-0 on Wednesday in the first match at National Stadium, the venue for the opening game at the European Championship in 100 days' time.
Portugal dominated the slow-paced game with striker Cristiano Ronaldo twice threatening to score. He shot just over the crossbar from a narrow angle in the 38th minute, and then forced goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny to save his long-range free kick in the 69th.
Poland striker Ireneusz Jelen was an occasional threat for goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
The friendly was considered a test for the Euro 2012 arena, which opened in January after a six-month delay and will host Poland's match against Greece on June 8.
