PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) -- Edinson Volquez wants to follow in former teammate Aaron Harang's footsteps with the San Diego Padres.
Volquez, who was traded from the Reds to the Padres in December, saw what a move from Cincinnati to San Diego's pitcher-friendly Petco Park did for Harang, who signed a one-year deal with the Padres in 2011 and went 14-7 with a 3.64 ERA.
In his previous three seasons with the Reds, Harang went 18-38 with a 4.71 ERA.
Given that he feels healthy once again, Volquez thinks he can match Harang.
