MILAN (AP) -- Lecce boosted its hopes of Serie A survival by beating fellow struggler Siena 4-1 in a relegation battle on Sunday.

Cristiano Del Grosso gave Siena the lead in the 25th minute but Luis Muriel leveled seven minutes later. Second-half goals from David Di Michele (from the penalty spot), Juan Cuadrado and Davide Brivio gave Lecce a vital victory.

Lecce midfielder Manuele Blasi was sent off in stoppage time after kicking out at Siena striker Mattia Destro.

Lecce remains 18th but is now just two points off Siena, which has a game in hand.

Siena had lost just one game in its past six matches in all competitions heading into the game. It is Lecce's second victory in seven games.
