PARIS (AP) -- Marseille showed the gulf in class in a 3-1 win over amateur side Bourg-Peronnas to reach the French Cup quarterfinals on Wednesday, while Paris Saint-Germain needed Nene's clinical finish to edge Dijon 1-0.
Marseille forward Brandao opened the scoring from close range in the 28th minute and doubled the lead in the 45th. Brandao has five goals in six matches since returning to Marseille after a loan spell at Brazilian club Gremio.
Ghana forward Jordan Ayew made it 3-0 with a low drive in the 54th.
Ousmane Diaby scored a consolation goal for Bourg-Peronnas in the 78th.
Brazilian midfielder Nene saved PSG from a lackluster performance by curling home the winner from a tight angle in the 15th.
Both matches were postponed last week because of a cold snap.
Bourg-Peronnas almost caught the hosts off guard in the opening minutes as striker Julio Tavares raced down the right flank on a counterattack to fire over the bar.
Marseille gradually took control, and Brandao finally converted the dominance into a lead by beating goalkeeper Sebastien Callamand to the ball to flick home a cross from Cesar Azpilicueta.
Marseille added the second on the stroke of halftime. Morgan Amalfitano played Brandao in with a side-footed pass and he beat Callamand with a low strike.
Brandao could have scored a hat trick in the first half but his header from a corner bounced off the bar in the 42nd.
Substitute Ayew fired home from the edge of the box to make it 3-0.
In Bourg-Peronnas' lone chance of the second half, left back Amar Ben Melouka took a free kick that hit the Marseille wall. Diaby pounced on the loose ball to shoot past goalkeeper Gennaro Bracigliano for consolation.
Dijon knocked PSG out of the League Cup with a 3-2 win in October but could not repeat the feat on Wednesday.
PSG converted its first scoring chance by capitalizing on a blunder from Dijon goalkeeper Baba Tchagouni, who missed his first touch while taking a backpass from Chaher Zarour. Nene won the ball and rounded Tchagouni to slot into an empty net.
Another defensive mistake nearly cost Dijon in the 35th. Zarour cleared the ball into the path of Nene, who shot wide from the edge of the box.
Dijon fought back in the second half. Brice Jovial cut inside PSG defender Diego Lugano to fire a low effort that goalkeeper Nicolas Douchez turned around the post in the 63rd.
Douchez denied Jovial again by stopping a spinning shot from the Dijon striker in the 71st.
PSG found more space as Dijon pushed hard for an equalizer, and winger Jeremy Menez made a solo run to hit a lob that sailed over the bar in the 74th.
