After his 400th career win, Ohio coach Lyle Falknor said he's been blessed.
Falknor, who now coaches at Sandusky St. Mary's, says the landmark win means he's been around a long time and had a lot of great players.
Nearing the end of his 30th boys season, Falknor's record stands at 400-275 after a 44-35 win last week over Port Clinton. He began at Tri-County North (16-28) for two seasons, followed by a stop at Springfield Greenon for three seasons. He went 56-18 at the school with a state-runner up in Class AA in 1986.
Falknor was 296-180 in 21 seasons at Bellevue with seven Northern Ohio League titles. Falknor is 32-49 in his fourth season at SMCC.
