No. 7 Miami women beat Clemson 68-47



Shenise Johnson scored 19 points to lead No. 7 Miami to a 68-47 victory over Clemson on Sunday.

The Hurricanes (20-3, 9-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) broke the game open with a 17-1 run midway through the first half. Riquna Williams hit two 3-pointers and Johnson and Shawnice Wilson both scored five points during the run.

Williams finished with 15 points for the Hurricanes, who won their 37th straight home game.

Williams' second 3-pointer with 11:09 remaining in the first half gave her 2,000 points in her career. Williams left the game and didn't return after colliding with teammate Michelle Woods while chasing a loose ball with 14:53 remaining in the second half.

Nikki Dixon scored 16 points to lead Clemson (6-15, 2-8), which has lost five of six.
