Sidiki Johnson to transfer to Providence


PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Sidiki Johnson will transfer from Arizona to Providence next season, his new school announced on Wednesday.

Johnson will join a highly touted recruiting class, which already includes guards Kris Dunn and Rick Ledo.

Johnson, a 6-9, 235-pound freshman forward, was suspended by Arizona coach Sean Miller on Nov. 21 for an undisclosed violation of team policy. Johnson left the Arizona program 13 days later.

He played a total of 7 minutes over three games for the Wildcats this season and averaged 0.3 points and 0.7 rebounds per game.
