LCA-Vision 4Q procedures grew 11 percent


CINCINNATI (AP) -- Laser eye surgery provider LCA-Vision Inc. said Tuesday that LasikPlus procedures grew 11 percent in the first quarter.

The company said it performed 20,989 procedures in the quarter that ended Saturday. It runs 52 vision correction centers in 26 states. LCA said it will report its full quarterly results before the market opens on April 24.

LCA-Vision has reported growth in LasikPlus procedures over the last three quarters. Before that, procedures had fallen every quarter since the third quarter of 2007.

Shares of LCA-Vision climbed 40 cents, or 6.1 percent, to $7 in morning trading.
