DENVER (AP) -- Former San Diego Union-Tribune publisher Ed Moss has been named president and chief executive officer of The Denver Post.
Digital First Media announced Moss' appointment on Friday. He will also serve as a Digital First Media executive vice-president overseeing MediaNews Group's operations in Colorado, Texas and New Mexico.
Moss will replace Jerry Grilly, who is retiring. He will start Feb. 20.
Digital First Media was created last year to manage both MediaNews and The Journal Register Co.
